Molly Coleman, a 6’2 Forward/Centre and club junior, has signed on for the NBL1 2022 season!
Coleman has just finished her Senior year at USC Upstate in NCAA D1, where she started for the Spartans and helped lead her team to a 22-8 season record, before being knocked out by UNC Asheville in their Big South Championship Quarter-Final game.
Molly finished the season averaging 9.8ppg and 3.9 rpg, on 54% shooting from the field. She had a season high of 24 points against Presbyterian and a season-high 9 rebounds at Radford.
Having played against some of the most talented players in College Basketball, Coleman will be primed to hit the ground running in NBL1.
Since playing for Norwood since Under 14’s, Molly is keen to get back to where it all started:
“I’m so excited to put the Norwood uniform back on and see what we can do this season!”
Coach Terry McNamara said:
“Molly is an exciting addition to our NBL1 Women’s program. She is a strong and athletic power forward who will provide terrific versatility and stability at both ends of the court. Previously a Norwood junior, it is great to welcome Molly back to flames and the season ahead.”
With Coleman signing, the team roster is complete, and the team is in it’s final preparations for the April 9th home opener, with Brooke Basham and Alex Wilson re-joining the team after their respective WNBL commitments.
