Callum Iseppi, a crafty 6’3 combo guard, has signed on for the Norwood NBL1 2022 season!
Cal, still only 18 years old, played in Norwood’s U21 team last year, finishing with averages of 15.7ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.8apg and 1.8spg on 45%FG and 33% from 3. With such a strong season, he has worked hard and deserves his opportunity in the NBL1 squad.
A shifty guard, Cal really excelled in pick & roll play last season, but also can create his own shot in one-on-one scenarios.
Athletic and with a nose for scoring the ball, we are looking for him to provide a scoring punch off the bench this season and in reserves team play.
Coach Tim Odell said:
“Another key part of our young talent pool, we’re looking forward to seeing Cal’s growth this year. His shooting ability is known but we’re excited to see him show the other strong areas of his game.”
We asked Cal about how he has found pre-season with the NBL1 squad:
“It’s been really good so far. I’m excited to be involved with new coaches and players this year.”
Iseppi has been involved in the South Australia High Performance programs over the years and has continued his development in 2021, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
Cal is also involved in the junior program, coaching in the Under 14’s ranks and helping to give back to the next generation of junior players.
We look forward to seeing Cal’s future development in 2022 and beyond!
