Matt Lycett, a 6’3 shooting guard, has re-signed with the Flames for 2022!
Last year, Matt averaged 13 ppg, 5.7rpg and 3.2apg on 43% shooting from the field. He had a season high of 21 twice, against South and Southern.
His second half of the campaign was vintage Lycett, as he averaged 15.5ppg and put together a great run of games that continued into finals.
With a silky jump shot, veteran IQ and solid defensive acumen, Lycett again will form part of the core going into 2022.
Coach Tim Odell said:
“Matt embodies the club’s values and is a pillar of the culture we are building. His talent and experience make him an asset for us and a great role model for our Juniors to look up to.”
The former league MVP, Lycett has evolved his game and played a major part of Norwood’s run to the Grand final in 2021.
This will be Lycett’s 12th year in the Norwood NBL1 program.
Lycett is looking forward to the possibilities of what 2022 can bring:
“I am looking forward to learning from Tim and continuing to improve. Excited for the year and where the team can go, hopefully one better than last year!”.
