Marco D’Annunzio, a 17 year old, young big, has signed for the 2022 NBL1 Season.
Being another promoted Club Junior, Marco has developed dramatically the past 18 months.
Standing at 6’8, Marco has just recently graduated the U18 program and has been selected in the U20 Blue team for the upcoming U20 National Championships in Mackay in April. This also serves as a great development opportunity for Marco to compete against the best in the country in his age group.
His game has continued to improve over these past 3 months, since training with the NBL1 squad and battling against bigger, stronger bodies on a regular basis. Players such as Anthony Green and Mitch Dix have pushed Marco and made him more physical in his game.

“Marco is a huge part of the future of the club. Being a Norwood Junior, he’s a great example for our young athletes to look up to. Having coached them a little in their Junior careers, I’m really excited to help them take the next step and share in their journey”
Marco was really excited to join the NBL1 squad for season 2022:
“I feel great going into the session with a new and professional team. I think this is an opportunity to learn and develop as a player to reach that next level. Have a good relationship with most of the players and coach, so they have welcomed me into the team, specifically a team that’s hungry for success this year.”
