Tim Odell returns as the NBL1 Men’s Head Coach for 2023 after a successful rookie coaching campaign.
Last season, he guided the group to a winning 10-8 record and a fourth-place finish.
With valuable experience under his belt and knowledge on and off the court, Tim has already begun improving his side this off-season.
Odell explained why he was so eager to re-sign with Norwood this year,
“I’m excited to build upon last year and see what we can do with this group. The character of this squad is fantastic, I think we’re in for a great year, and I’m looking forward to seeing how far we can go.”
NBL1 GM, Will Smith, is also thrilled to have Odell leading the Men’s squad once again,
“Tim has shown immediate growth in the role and has put learnings into practice quickly. His understanding of the modern game and ability to get the best out of his players has been excellent. He works hard on relationship-building with the playing group and this filters well through everything they do.
We are excited to see him develop with the squad this year; the group will play tough and be competitive in all games. Based on our preparation and talent, we expect another finals campaign.”
Now that the pre-season is in full flight, Odell has started implementing this year’s systems and tactics with the playing group as they prepare for another successful campaign.
