Rinaldi, a dynamic point guard, has signed into the NBL1 squad for 2022.
Another recent graduate from the Junior Program, Dave has flourished in his few short months in the NBL1 program. Still only 17 years old, the future looks bright for the young prospect.
A huge step-up into NBL1: Dave’s basketball IQ, speed of play and passing ability have served him well during pre-season training.
Quite a connection has already begun between Rinaldi and Anthony Green, as Dave often finds AG for lobs in scrimmages.
Rinaldi’s thoughts on the season ahead:
“I’m excited to learn from the vets around the club and be part of a team striving for a championship.”
The veterans that have already begun to further mentor Dave, include Andrew Webber, a 400+ game veteran of the club:
“He’s been in my ear a lot so far giving me advice and veteran tricks on all aspects of the game and I’m aware there’s no one better to learn from as a point guard myself. I’m very lucky I’m able to have Andrew as a mentor in my first year as his IQ and knowledge of the game is admirable.”
NBL1 GM Will Smith said:
“Dave has some special qualities about him that makes him stand-out. His ability to see the game before it happens is excellent; Making reads, making passes and getting those steals in the lanes are the things he does so well.”
Having already played over 200 games for the club in his Junior career, we can’t wait to see what the next few years has in store for David!
