The Norwood Flames are excited to announce Tim Odell as Men’s Head Coach for NBL1 2024!
Tim is returning for his 3rd season at the helm, looking to build upon the great momentum the group built in the 2nd half of the 2023 season.
Coach Odell has shown tremendous growth over the past two seasons and is well and truly established into the role now. His knowledge of the league is increasing every year, as is his ability to manage and lead the squad on & off court.
Tim Odell said:
“I’m excited by the growth and development of the squad, the new guys coming in and the different looks they bring. We had a strong back half of last season and I’m looking forward to building on that this year.”
With player recruitment well under way, announcements will happen soon. The squad is shaping up to make it back into the finals and be highly competitive as they aim to contend.
NBL1 GM Will Smith:
“Tim’s play style fits great with the modern game. We obviously are trying to target players who suit this mould well and will complement the existing playing group. Tim’s relationship building is excellent, as we look to foster the guys on and off the court in their growth and development. This fits in with what we value as a club and building a basketball community that players want to be a part of”.
Pre-season is starting to kick into gear, with all players expected to be on deck by late January/early February.
