Norwood is thrilled to announced the signing of WNBL and Adelaide Lightning star, Ally Wilson!
Wilson is a 5’9 guard, who, as a 26 year old, now has 8 years WNBL experience after being signed as a development player at 16 years old.
Ally was the 2014 WNBL Rookie of the Year and is also a 2x WNBL Champion. Once with the Townsville Fire and again with the Sydney Uni Flames.
In the 2020 WNBL ‘Bubble’ season, she averaged 11.3ppg, 4.7 rpg and 4.3 apg. She had a season high 23 points against the Bendigo Spirit, including 5 triples in that game.
Wilson not only brings a hard and tough playing style, but compliments that with a dangerous offensive game. Ally will also look to lead our young group on and off the court.
NBL1 GM, Will Smith, said:
“We are really excited to sign a marquee player of Ally’s level for the Flames. She not only brings an amazing game to the team, but also does a lot of instrumental work in the community at large. Someone who works for others and really wants to give back, is the exact sort of individual we want contributing to the culture at our club.”
