A WARM NORWOOD WELCOME
The Norwood Basketball Club are excited to announce that Ryan Morris has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Women’s Premier League team for 2019. Ryan returns to us after a stint in Melbourne coaching within the Big V competition and was recently awarded coach of the year for his U23 2018 program. He was also selected to take part in the Victorian State Coaching Program as an assistant coach, winning gold at the U20 Nationals in 2017. We are thrilled to welcome Ryan, his wealth of knowledge and experience along with his passion for the game will be a fantastic addition to the club. Ryan joins Michael Rogers in the Premier League program, who will be continuing as Men’s head coach for the 2019 season.
We would also like to take this time to acknowledge and thank Mike Mckay. Mikes’ dedication, passion and enthusiasm to the girls program in 2018 was second to none and the we wish him all the best for his future endeavors.
Ryan will be around the club from the end of October so keep an eye out and say hello! He and the girls look forward to seeing you out at games next year.
