Alex Wilson, NBL1 All-Star 5 in 2021, Team MVP and super-star, has resigned with the Norwood Flames for season 2022!
In 2021, Ally averaged 23.4 ppg, 10.3rpg and 5.8apg. She also posted 2 triple doubles on the season, narrowly missing out on 4 more. Her season high of 39 came against North Adelaide, scoring 30 or more on 5 separate occasions.
At only 27 years of age, she is coming into her prime years and will look to build on her excellent 2021 NBL1 season. At 5’10, Ally is athletic and versatile enough to guard multiple positions and score from all different spots on the court.
Ally was the 2014 WNBL Rookie of the Year and is also a 2x WNBL Champion. Once with the Townsville Fire and again with the Sydney Uni Flames. She has over 8 years of WNBL experience also.

Ally has her goals set to make finals for the upcoming season, as she knows the potential this playing group has:
“I am excited to resign with Norwood and play with this great group of girls again. I think we only scratched the surface of what we are capable of in the second half of the season last year. We were unlucky not to make finals and this season that will be our biggest goal.”
Ally has also had a great effect on the club at large, coaching junior teams and also at camp days throughout the year. This is really important to be a positive role model for our young girls coming up through the system and creates another direct link between our NBL1 program and juniors.
“Ally has been phenomenal with the Women’s team. The way she led them on and off the floor last year, showed the value she not only brings as a basketballer, but as a person. She brings the best out of her teammates and gives them confidence”.
