Norwood Flames are inviting you to trial for the 2026/27 District Season.

The cost for trialing for Norwood Flames juniors will be $75. This cost will include 2 x 2 hour (Girls 1x 2 hour & 1x 1.5 hour) on court trial sessions run by current Norwood Flames district coaches and NBL1 players.
Any updates to the below times will be communicated with the affected age groups as necessary. Times are subject to change.
Registrations will close Monday July 27th, 2026 for all Girls and U14 Boys, U16 Boys & U18 Boys. No late registrations will be accepted.
U12 Boys Registrations close on July 13th, 2026 at 5pm.
The following age groups will be open to trial, subject to a cap on total numbers for each session:
- U12s Boys (2017, 2016) Saturday, July 18th from 8:30am-10:30am, Sunday July 26th from 10:30am-12:30pm at The Arc Campbelltown
- U14s Boys (2015, 2014) Sunday, August 2nd 8am-10am at The Arc Campbelltown & August 9th from 10am-12pm at The Arc Campbelltown
- U16s Boys (2013, 2012) Sunday, August 2nd 10am-12pm at The Arc Campbelltown & August 9th from 8am-10am at The Arc Campbelltown
- U18s Boys (2011, 2010) Sunday, August 9th 1:30pm-3:30pm at The Arc Campbelltown & August 16th from 8:30am-10:30am at Marden Sports Centre (Mars).
- All Girls Sessions (U12, U14, U16, U18) Sunday August 9th 12-1:30pm at The Arc Campbelltown & August 16th from 10:30am-12:30pm at Marden Sports Centre (Mars).
After the trial a selection of players will be offered:
- A full playing position for the 2026-27 Junior District Season
- An invite to the second round of trials against existing Norwood Flames District Players
Upon formal acceptance of your position you will be required to pay Norwood District Playing Fees, purchase a uniform and weekly game fees (payable to Basketball South Australia directly).
We will be hosting a separate Youth League and Seniors trial on the Thursday 20th August. More information can be found here.
- U21s (Men only) (2009, 2008, 2007)
- U23s (Women only) (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005)
We will be hosting a separate boys and girls U10 Trials on Saturday 18th July.
From these U10 sessions we will be inviting players to a skills academy held during August. This is not an offer of position in a Norwood team. Offers for Norwood squad positions will be made after the skills academy.
Please bring: water/drink, ball, reversible training top (light/dark preferable) and appropriate basketball court shoes.
For previous year’s trials 27% of external trial participants were invited to internal trials. This includes all age groups and both genders.
Junior Trials Dates: Sunday 2nd August 2026, Sunday 9th August 2026, Sunday 16th August 2026
Location & Times: The Arc & Marden Sports Centre; times as per above listing (subject to change due to unforseen circumstances).
What to Bring: Labelled basketball and water bottle
** Please arrive approximately 30 mins prior to your scheduled start time to sign in at the registration desk, located at the courts. Don’t forget your ball and water.
