Shay’Lee Dayman, a 5’11 Forward, has signed with Norwood off the completion of her Senior season for the Simpson University Red Hawks.
She completed 4 years of Junior College in the USA, first with Lake Region State College before transferring.
In 3 out of the 4 years, her team made it to the Championship Tournament.
Dayman is a multi-sport talented athlete, who is also currently playing for Glenelg in the SANFLW.
We are highly supportive of multi-sport athletes and the benefits it provides concurrently to both different sporting codes for the athlete.
Coach said,
“I’m excited to have Shaylee join us at the Norwood Basketball Club, not only because she is a good basketball player, but great person off the floor as well. We look forward to watching her play next season in the NBL One Central!”
Known for her defence and slashing ability, Dayman will be a valuable asset both on and off the court for the Flames as she is highly competitive and wants to help foster a winning culture for now and the future.
“I’m excited to see how far Coach can take this team, he has some really good visions for the team next season and I can’t wait to see it all come together” said Shay’Lee.
The Women’s team is set for individual workouts to continue before the Christmas break, with preseason training commencing in January.
Welcome to Norwood, Shay’Lee!
