As part of our new training program, we are introducing the Norwood Flames Skills academy starting the week of October 20th.
These skill development sessions will be run by professional skills coaches and will be open to all players from either our Norwood Red or Blue Squads.
The aim of these sessions is simple: improved player development!
The focus on individual skill development includes:
- Shooting
- Finishing moves
- Dribbling & ball handling
- Strength & conditioning components
- Balance & coordination
- Breakdowns- coming off screens, pick & roll play,
- Footwork
- Post work
- Defence
- Rebounding
- Small sided game play
Running these sessions will not only enhance athletes’ skill sets , but also club culture with our junior players intermingling side by side during sessions.
We ask that players come with a ‘work hard’ mindset, to do every rep with maximum effort, intensity and focus to improve themselves. This High Performance environment will help players thrive in improving themselves and teammates.
Session times will all be 6:30am-7:45am at The Arc Campbelltown. The Arc opens at 6:00am on weekdays, so player would be expected to attend from 6:20am. Sessions will start sharply at 6:30am, so athletes need to be dressed and ready to maximise time on court.
Please being a ball, drink bottle and reversible training top.
